4-Packs - JFETs
Hi all - we are clearing out a lot of these silicon N-Channel Junction Field Effect Transistors, more commonly known as JFETs. The 2N5457's are Fairchild Electronics / Siliconix brands and are great all-around general-purpose JFETs that will work in most N-Channel JFET applications and are frequently used in audio gear. As of now, we have only a few 2N5484's left, but a good amount of J201's, 2N5457's, and 2N5458's.
Are all in TO-92 casing or similar/equivalent.
The J201 can be used in many of the situations that the 2N5457 and 2N5458 can be used in, and all three are typed as
General Purpose
JFETs...however, the J201 is often better for higher-gain / audiophile-grade circuits...J201's can be used in many small amplifier and preamplifier circuits. Furthermore, when these J201 triodes are overdriven, they produce a very tube-like tone (and they don't require nearly as much voltage as tubes would to do it!). 2N5457's can be used for more general-purpose buffers or as op-amp replacements; the slightly beefier big-brother of the 2N5457, the 2N5458, can be used when slightly more oomph is needed. All of these transistors are new or new old stock and have never been soldered/installed. Because these are new old stock,
we test all transistors before shipping
