DESCRIPTION: Vintage Colclough Bone China made in England. The set has a crisp white background with lavishly decorated floral gilding.
The pattern number stamped on the back in gold is #5879. The pattern could be described as chintz, floral bouquet,
filigree gold gilded flowers. The set has a scalloped edge on the cup and saucer which is also edged in gold and a beautifully sculpted handle. Please see images. The back stamp is that used in the 1930's & 1940's.
This gold pattern is simply stunning.
This set would make a lovely Birthday, Hostess, Vintage Wedding, Bridal, Housewarming or Shower gift. Add some tea, or specialty coffee to make it even more special.

CONDITION: Condition is Pre-Owned. They are in excellent condition and there are no cracks, crazing or repairs. There is a flea bite on the underside of the foot of the cup, and on the back of the saucer there is a rough spot on the edge and two manufacturers dots of glaze missing. Manufacturers black specks on the inside of the cup. A manufacturers glaze drip on the cup handle. Please see all images.
